Responsibilities

The City of Hinesville City Manager is appointed by the City Council. Kenneth Howard is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the City and oversees all departments of City of Hinesville government. He acts as a liaison between the City Council and the public by responding to inquiries and resolving conflicts. He is also responsible for oversight of the City Council meeting agenda process and implementing policy decisions made by the Council members.

The City Manager's Office is responsible for the preparation and administration of the City’s budget, making financial recommendations, serving as a purchasing agent, performing risk management duties, and managing City contracts, among other tasks.
