About the Crime Suppression Unit (CSU)
In 2006 The Hinesville Police Department formed the Crime Suppression Unit. The unit is tasked to:
- Target and patrol known high-crime and drug areas
- Combat and monitor gang activity within the City
- Assist investigators with crime scenes
- Serve high-risk search and arrest warrants
