The Court also has jurisdiction (with certain statutory exceptions) in misdemeanor offenses of underage possession of alcohol, possession of marijuana (less than one ounce) and theft by shoplifting.
The Court also handles local ordinance violations, including parking violations and Rule NISIs.
*IMPORTANT - COVID-19 Information*
Municipal Court cases that have been postponed due to COVID-19 will be sent a reschedule letter to the address on the citation. If you need to update your address, please contact the court.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused new court procedures to be put in place to insure the health and safety of everyone. All defendants wishing to appear before the Judge MUST now call to reserve a court time on their designated court date. In order to finalize the court docket those wishing to appear must have their request for a court time reserved by 3:00 PM the Monday before the scheduled court date. All defendants will be screened prior to entering the courtroom.
