August 30, 2023 court cancellation update:
Court cases cancelled on August 30, 2023, due to Hurricane Idalia have been rescheduled. Due to the number of cases 2 dates have been chosen as make-up dates, Friday, September 22, 2023, and Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Letters have been sent out to the address on file with the court with your rescheduled date. You may also review the court schedules under the Court Schedule tab to the left and view the court docket for those dates to check for your name. If you have any questions, please contact the court.
About the Court
The Municipal Court has jurisdiction over most misdemeanor traffic offenses and local ordinance violations that occur within the city limits of Hinesville. The Court also has jurisdiction (with certain statutory exceptions) in misdemeanor offenses of underage possession of alcohol, possession of marijuana (less than one ounce) and theft by shoplifting (less than $500.00).
