Responsibilities


The Finance Department manages the City’s financial resources and safeguards assets through appropriate controls and accounting practices. The Department is responsible for the City’s accounting, purchasing, accounts payable, budgeting and preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

The Finance Department strives to provide accurate financial reporting and excellent customer service for all internal and external customers, while developing innovative and cost-effective ways of financing City services and facilities.

The City of Hinesville is requesting proposals from audit firms interested in providing audit services to the City of Hinesville and Liberty Consolidated Planning Commission.

Firms who intend to submit proposals MUST SUBMIT A NOTIFICATION OF INTEREST to the Chief Financial Officer, Kimberly Ryon, City of Hinesville, 115 East M.L. King Jr. Drive, Hinesville, GA  31313.  Letters of Interest must be received by September 1, 2021.
