Community Development Department
The Community Development Department works to further the City’s strategic goals and is comprised of the Grants Administration and Homeless Prevention Offices. Broadly, the Grants Administration Office is responsible for seeking, securing and managing grants and the Homeless Prevention Office provides direct services and referrals to individuals experiencing homelessness and other hardships. The Department furthers these initiatives through community outreach and coordination of community programs including the Summer Youth Enhancement Project and the Mayor’s Small Business Conference. The office also manages greenspace improvement including Bryant Commons and Irene B. Thomas Park.
