Our mosquito control program includes seasonal trapping, year-round surveillance/monitoring, treatment that includes ULV spraying and thermal fogging. We are in constant communication with the State of Georgia’s Regional Entomologist which reviews our data and helps formulate plans to eradicate species found with viruses.
Water is billed based on consumption and is read monthly by either drive - by or radio signal. There are over 12,000

The Ditch Spyder is used to mow and/or clean every outfall ditch and canal in the city’s drainage inventory. Ditchesare scheduled for maintenance at least once a year. For more information,please call the Public Works Department at 912-876-8216.
Wastewater is conveyed throughout the city to the wastewater plants via lift stations that pump the water to thetreatment plants. The City currently has 44 lift stations that ESG Operations operates and maintains. For more information, please call the Public Works Department at 912-876-8216.
The Water Distribution Department is responsible for maintaining four (4) water wells, four (4) elevated storage tanks and all laboratory analysis for the Hinesville Water Department.
