In 2004, the City of Hinesville received designation as an Entitlement Community, eligible to receive Community Development Block Grant funding directly from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. Every five years, the City files a Consolidated Plan outlining funding priorities that will work to address identified needs throughout the community over the same time period. Annually, Hinesville files an Annual Action Plan that describes specific projects and activities the City will undertake to address the priority needs as identified in its 5-year Consolidated Plan.
Residents of Hinesville are strongly encouraged to participate in this process by reviewing and/or commenting on the proposed Annual Action Plan. The 2018 Annual Action Plan will be available for a 30 day public review and comment period between April 2, 2018 and May 2, 2018. Citizens may review this document in the Community Development Department, 2nd floor of City Hall (115 East M.L. King Jr. Drive, Hinesville, Georgia 31313), Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
Persons with special needs related to handicapped accessibility or foreign language accommodation should call Ms. Erica Usher at (912) 877-3953 or (912) 655-5975 between 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, except holidays.
