Bar Cards
Bar cards are required for persons working in establishments serving alcohol for on-premise consumption. Obtaining a bar card requires government-issued identification, a criminal history check and a $25 fee. Cards are issued from the Police Department at 123 East M.L. King, Jr. Drive on Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., excluding City holidays.

Criminal / Driver's History Checks

A criminal history check may be obtained at the Hinesville Police Department. Individuals requesting this information must provide a piece of government-issued identification and pay a $20 fee (cash only).

Individuals requesting a driver's history must inquire with the Department of Motor Vehicles in the state the license was issued.

Home / Business Security Surveys

The Police Department offers security surveys to businesses and residents of Hinesville. These surveys provide recommendations and tips regarding building security and personal safety.

House Checks

You may call the Police Department to have your home placed on the house check list. This list is a coded printout that is given to the beat officer assigned to your particular area. The officer rides by and checks on your home while you are away. It is suggested that you also have a trusted friend, neighbor or relative check your home.

Traffic Safety Classes

Traffic officers schedule classes with local schools and military units on traffic safety and the dangers of drinking and driving. Classes include what to expect if you are stopped and charged with D.U.I. or any other traffic offense, the consequences of road rage, following too close, improper lane changes, and failure to yield the right of way.
