About the Patrol Division
The Patrol Division consists of:

• Three shifts, each with a lieutenant, a sergeant, a star corporal, and patrol officers
• Crime Suppression Unit
• School Resource Officers
• Traffic Accident Investigation
• Warrants Section
• K-9 Unit

• Fleet Management

Responsibilities
The Patrol Division is responsible for:

• Initially responding to all calls for service
• Preserving crime scenes
• Conducting preliminary and misdemeanor investigations
• Making arrests where probable cause exists

Warrants Section
The Patrol Division is also responsible for:

• Serving outstanding warrants
• Assisting Municipal Court and Magistrate Court
